These presentations prepare students and parents as they anticipate the transition from Lower School to Middle School and from Middle School to Upper School. At this critical stage, the transition is smoother when students and parents know what to expect academically and socially.
Our fifth grade students and current applicants to 6th grade are invited to spend a morning at the Middle School. There is a special session for parents with the Senior Master followed by a tour and a session for parents and students with the Senior Master, Middle School faculty and the Athletic Director. The morning concludes with a pizza lunch.

For students moving up into our Upper School, there are two opportunities. Our eighth grade students and current applicants to 9th grade spend a morning with a panel from our Upper School faculty, the Athletic Director, Theatre Director and our Senior Class. This program is repeated in the evening for parents of eighth graders. In addition, our Director of Admission visits eighth graders at local schools and presents the expectations for our Upper School; parents are included in these sessions.
