Junior Varsity Boys Basketball

The boy’s junior varsity is the primary place for reinforcing individual skills and teaching the technical and tactical aspects of the game necessary at the varsity level. Not only is the place for basketball development, but, this is the first step in the leadership training developed by the coaching staff. Our goal is to train the boys to fill all the necessary rolls on a team so that the team can compete at a high level. The junior varsity plays between 10-15 games, and ends the season with a MISAL JV tournament.

Varsity Girls Basketball

WCA has a flourishing girls' varsity program. The girls build on the skills and knowledge they bring to the program. WCA continues to grow the player through individual skill development. The basketball program stretches the players by teaching the girls the tactics necessary to compete at the varsity level. The girls compete in MISAL. The varsity girls have won MISAL championships. On the varsity girls schedule there will generally be 20-25 regular season games plus post season tournaments, league and the Maryland Christian Schools Tournament where they have both been seeded in the top division.

Varsity Boys Basketball

The boy’s varsity basketball program has been a signature program at WCA for years. The WCA varsity boy’s team is a picture of leadership, tactical and technical growth combined and then put into practice on the court. The varsity boys play 20-25 regular season games plus post season tournaments, league and the Maryland Christian Schools Tournament where they have both been seeded at the top.
